Meet B.O.B.
Jeep’n about in B.O.B. (AKA: Bucket of Bolts), searching for new adventures.
A dude & a Jeep
I’m just a dude who really digs Jeeps and outdoor adventures.
I have taken countless photos over the years of my adventures ranging from rocking climbing, white water canoeing, backpacking, mountain biking, etc…
But by far my favorite and most enduring favorite activity is hanging with the wife, dogs and Jeep’n. Whether it’s just a drive through our little town for a bite to eat or some place that takes us off the beaten path for a new adventure… being in a Jeep makes it all so much more fun!
So I decided to build this website to keep track of photos, videos, and short stories about some of my favorite memories.
When I first got my Jeep I promised myself that I would not upgrade any parts unless it wore out or I broke something.
There were a few things I didn’t wait too long to add to my Jeep, such as a net system to keep the dogs in, a set of bumpers and a lift kit that I recently install. But other than that – the Jeep has remained stock for many years.
Over the years I’ve also done quite a bit of research to find tips, specs, and how to videos, to get the most out of my Jeep… resources I’ve found useful. Hopefully someone else will find them useful as well.

DYI Spare Tire Bump
After installing my new Dick Cepek Trail Country EXP 33×12.5R15 tires and Mammoth Boulder Gunmetal Gray 15″ wheels I found that I wasn’t able to get the tire pressed against the swing-away tire carried as I was able to with my prior tires and wheels. I liked having the tire rest against the swing away […]
Adding New Fenders to my Jeep
Last week my new fenders arrive for my Jeep. In preparation of their arrival, I hit the tub bolts with penetrating oil every day for a week prior, the others that thread into the plastic backing nuts I hit twice – two days before the job. All the bolts came out fairly easy except one. […]

Rust on a Jeep TJ
This is one of the most in-depth videos about rust on a Jeep TJ. Where to look and inspect to prevent a rusty frame and body. Many thanks to Taboo Customs! I’m going take a deeper look into some of those nooks and crannies you mentioned, to keep an eye out for any collected dirt […]
