Hi-Lift Stump Removal

My neighbors think I’m a bit crazy – but I enjoying swinging and axe and sledgehammer. Every couple of months the neighbors see me out in the yard cutting down an old tree and hacking away at a stump. Many times they’ve asked, “Why don’t you hire a tree company to remove the trees and stumps?” When I reply, “I actually enjoy the exercise of swinging my axe.” They often stare in confusion, trying to understand. For me it’s just an opportunity to relax my mind, think on nothing other than the stump, enjoying the sun on my back, a good chew of tobacco and the satisfaction of accomplishing – once the job is done.

Though I have to say, some of those stumps have been quite difficult and time consuming to remove. I happened to come across these two videos about stump removal while looking at Hi-lift Jacks. I’ll definitely put these tricks to use next time I’m removing a stump… and put that Hi-Lift I have for my Jeep to more use.
