Changing Fluid and Greasing
ChrisFix covers pretty much every type of fluid change and grease maintenance topic in this video. Though it’s not a Jeep specific video, the processes involved are relatively the same and there are some great tips in the video.
Rust on a Jeep TJ
This is one of the most in-depth videos about rust on a Jeep TJ. Where to look and inspect to prevent a rusty frame and body. Many thanks to Taboo Customs! I’m going take a deeper look into some of those nooks and crannies you mentioned, to keep an eye out for any collected dirt and debris that could hold water and cause issues with rust.
Quick Air Down Tire Stem
Rapid Precision Valve
This innovative, fast deflation tire valve allows you to quickly dump street air pressure to your preferred off-road pressure.
thanks to the Jeep Gear and Gadgets! Channel on Youtube for sharing this info and video.
Big Dog and Lifted Jeep
For those who have big dogs who like to ride along with you.
I have a 3.5” lift and I have a really big dog. His name is Cash. He’s so big, that he has a hard time squeezing past the passenger seat to get in the back. Half the time he was clawing his back legs trying to get a foothold or he just hung there half in, half out… and I had to shove him in.
With a suggestion from another Jeeper, I came up with a way to help my big dog get in our Jeep easier and without the need to lift his back-end up and stuff his big ass through the small space between the passenger and the back.
So I had some old leather laying around and decided to stitch up sort of a blanket with two pieces back to back to double the thickness. I then punched holes across the top and ran paracord through the holes. I had a couple of carabiners laying around that I use to fasten the paracord to the passenger seat.
We gave it a test drive today… took the dogs to Uwharrie for an outing and it worked great!!!
The leather gives Cash enough traction to get into the Jeep and navigate by the passenger seat with ease. He didn’t slip once after multiple times in and out.
Now he can get in own his own, and my blue paint need not get scratched up.
